The Santa Cruz called “plan 3000” originated to resettle the population affected by the flooding of the river Pirai. The lack of structures such as schools, sewerage, and strong recent immigration from other areas, make it a very defavorecida area. Thus began his work there Foundation Men's New.
La precariedad de los servicios sanitarios en el barrio “Plan 3000” nos ha llevado a estudiar en profundidad las posibilidades de intervenir de manera eficaz a partir de las estructuras ya creadas. Schools and hospital, health centers, preventiva on, private clinics, other NGOs, have been involved in this community health project.
Between 2008 and 2012 , collaboration with the Foundation Men's New, University of Salamanca, SACYL and the Junta de Castilla y León, has led to the expected lead in promoting hygiene habits between 16.000 Children foundation schools in the district "3000 plan" .After a comprehensive diagnosis, the continued participation of primary care physicians and nurses in Salamanca and Segovia has focused on women as health agent, en agua potable, nets, reduction snuff and alcohol, contraception, food preservation, daily hygiene, preventing pests, sighted, eating habits. The training of local staff has been crucial to the project's sustainability. And so, at the end of the year 2012, las actitudes necesarias para preservar la salud se han fortalecido.
To ensure the viability of the project after missing the Spanish cooperation, a Bolivian who will be responsible for coordinating activities to meet our goals was hired.
Mª Jesús, Emilio and José Manuel, initiators of the project, in their offices in the diagnostic phase.
The needs analysis HHNN us realize that the most effective aspect that could intervene, was in training on participatory research to develop projects under the Logical Framework approach.
Volunteers and executives pointed to the need for developing projects based on the role of stakeholders in each section, and thus be consistent with the bottom-up approach within the institution. We looked for the sustainability of the same organization based on the initiative of the equipment.
The project itself has emerged from a shared formulation. For five months, Mercedes Arias and Elena Gil, Allegro volunteers, estuvieron manteniendo seminarios en que ayudaban a trabajar a los equipos en la identificación de sus objetivos. From these seminars were building their own projects. The result has been the creation of a project department, where workers proposed the foundation materialize after needs analysis. De esta manera aumenta el protagonismo y apropiación de todos los involucrados en la institución y la sostenibilidad.
Proyectos formulados por los trabajadores bolivianos han mejorado en participación y estructuración, outperforming in European calls . Thus the local stakeholder analysis becomes the leadership of their own change.
Collaboration between HHNN Foundation, University of Salamanca, Allegro Foundation
Our collaboration with the foundation "New Men" began to interview teachers of 16 HHNN colleges Foundation through focus groups. Encontramos tres áreas fundamentales que ellos consideraban carencias importantes: Emotional problems related to dysfunctional families. Major delays of many students in language, writing, logical mathematical reasoning. And the lack of linking families with schools and continuing education
Therefore arose as necessary,
1.-the figure of the social worker that deals with linking families with schools, have monitoring and possible referral to other agencies in the neighborhood . Family violence, malnutrition, abandonment of children, should be followed from the structure of the school and local resources concerning neighborhood, often unknown.
2.-El psychopedagogists, responsible for assisting in every school students with significant delays and work with teachers to reflect on the causes and seeking appropriate training methodology that do not end in dropout.
Through grants from the USAL-cooperation-Office, we have established student placements of these specialties who have worked in schools for 2008-2012. Working together with teachers and families has been very slow since it has been necessary to find a lot of coordination and time teachers often lack. Ongoing assessments have to change the project, starting from direct action with the particular cases, a la prevención por medio de formación en talleres y coordinación con recursos locales. El proyecto ha demandado también el contrato de dos psicólogas a cargo de la Fundación Allegro.
